Obstructive ectopic lingual thyroid

Lingual thyroid is a rare congenital anomaly of thyroid development resulting from failure of the thyroglossal duct to migrate from the foramen cecum to the prelaryngeal site. Tongue is the most common localisation. We report a 37 year old female patient with lingual thyroid presenting with obstructive and dysphagia symptoms and absence of the normal thyroid gland.

Basý semptomlu ektopik lingual tiroid

Lingual tiroid nadir bir konjenital anomali olup tiroid bezinin foramen çekumdan aþaðý inmesindeki yetersizliðe baðlý oluþmaktadýr. Dil ektopik tiroidin en çok yerleþim alanýdýr. Solunum obstrüksiyonu ve disfaji geliþen 37 yaþýnda bayan lingual tiroidli hastayý sunmayý amaçladýk.
